With better toughness, better strength, better corrosion resistance, better chemical stability -- Alumina has good hardness characteristics, zirconia has good toughness characteristics, the two materials to form a high-strength, high toughness of the excellent complexes. Room temperature has high bending strength and fracture toughness, so zirconia toughening ceramics has excellent wear resistance. Also, ZTA powder doped with a small amount of Cr2O3 or SiC nanopowder can further improve its strength and toughness. In the future, ZTA will have a more widely used value.
